Direct Path

What Is the Direct Path?

The Direct Path is all practice without tools: meditation, awareness, embodied presence and nonduality. We simply sit with awareness and recognise what is already here: the awareness that knows this moment, and the basic goodness in you. Embodied presence means that awareness is also felt in the breath and the body. Basic goodness is the warmth and clarity you may notice in small moments, like when you stop rushing and your shoulders drop, or when you simply want to help someone who is having a hard day. We don’t need to build it. Meditation helps us recognise it, again and again, until it feels familiar. (On the Explorative Path, we use tools such as Reiki energy and tarot symbols.)

Sessions are held in Bali and online. Wherever you are starting from, the path has three simple steps.

Try this now

For the next three breaths, let your eyes rest softly and listen to the sounds around you. You don’t need to name them or like them. Just notice that hearing is already happening, without any effort from you. If a thought pulls you away, that is fine. When you notice it, come back to one sound. That small noticing is where the Direct Path begins.

Three Steps on the Direct Path

1. Learning Meditation for Beginners

Start with short, gentle practice: the body sitting, the sounds around you, the natural breath. You learn to notice when attention wanders and to come back without scolding yourself. Short moments, many times a day, matter more than long sessions. No experience is needed.

2. Deepening into Nonduality

When meditation becomes familiar, the questions often change. Who is aware right now? Is there really a gap between the one who hears and the sound? Nonduality means “not two”: seeing for yourself that awareness and experience are not separate. We explore this in personal mentorship, through quiet looking, honest conversation and everyday life.

3. Meditation Facilitator Training

For those who want to go deeper in their own practice, or to guide others. You learn to hold a calm, open space and to help people recognise awareness for themselves, instead of handing them a fixed method. You are also welcome to take this training just for yourself.

Ways to Practise

Short reads, each with a small practice you can try today.

Not Sure Where You Are? Let's Talk First

You don’t have to place yourself on the right step. Tell Andreas a little about your practice and what you are looking for. We get to know each other first, then look together at what fits. The arrangements and fees are agreed in that conversation. This is a way of living, not a menu.

The Other Doors

The Direct Path sits beside the Explorative Path, where we come to the same basic goodness through tools such as Reiki energy and tarot symbols. Both paths meet in Facilitator Training.
