Who is this guidance for?

This may be a useful conversation if you recognize one of these questions:

  • “I have been meditating for a while. What am I still trying to find?”
  • “I understand nonduality intellectually. How do I explore it in direct experience?”
  • “I have had moments of clarity. How do I meet the habits and reactions that remain?”
  • “How can awareness become present in my body, relationships and daily decisions?”

You do not need special experiences or the right spiritual vocabulary to begin. Your actual experience gives us a place to start. If you would prefer an introduction to meditation, explore private meditation with Andreas.

What happens in a mentorship session?

A session is shaped around your questions and your present experience. It can include:

  1. Listening and clarification. Share your practice, what feels unclear and the situations where you would welcome guidance.
  2. Direct inquiry. Explore a question through what you can notice now: sounds, sensations, thoughts, feelings and the sense of being aware.
  3. Meditation and embodied exploration. Find an accessible way to recognize awareness while allowing the body its own pace.
  4. Bringing it into life. Consider how this exploration relates to a conversation, a recurring reaction or a moment in your ordinary day.

The next step grows out of the conversation. You can ask about a first session or discuss further guidance as your practice unfolds. Read more about InnerPeace’s approach to personal guidance.

For a closer look at the foundations of this inquiry, explore basic goodness as a direct recognition and Marga Wismaya, the path taught through InnerPeace. Both connect the recognition of awareness with the body, relationships, and everyday life.

Meet Andreas Pasolympia

Andreas Pasolympia, meditation educator at InnerPeace
Andreas Pasolympia

Andreas Pasolympia is a meditation and nonduality educator, author and guide for the inner journey. Since childhood, a deep longing to understand reality and spontaneous experiences of nonduality have drawn him into an intuitive exploration of awareness. Moments of recognition arose suddenly and inspired a continuing search.

That search led him across Eastern traditions and teachings from different religions, including Advaita Vedanta, Mahamudra and Maha Ati (Dzogchen). These backgrounds inform a personal, experiential approach to inquiry.

His mentorship centres on direct experience, awareness and embodiment in ordinary life. He listens to your background and questions, then explores a doorway that is meaningful for you.

What is nonduality?

Non-duality is a profound way of perceiving the world, transcending the typical subject-object divide. In our everyday lives, we often view the world through a filter of likes and dislikes, creating a sense of separation.

This perception is known as the filter of the separate self. Non-duality invites us to explore a deeper way of seeing, recognizing the inner aspects of our being, often referred to as pure awareness, pure consciousness, or true nature.

Exploring true nature and awareness

Non-duality teaches us that we are not merely our experiences. We are not just the body, which is impermanent and ever-changing. Our identity is not tied to our name, which can be changed administratively, nor to our social roles, which are interdependent (e.g., parent-child, husband-wife).

  • Beyond Thoughts and Emotions:

Thoughts and emotions are transient and not solid. They come and go, shifting constantly. Our attention can drift between thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, but we are not this fleeting attention.

  • Discovering Pure Presence:

Moving beyond labels like “I am Andreas,” “I am male,” or “I am female,” we discover a deeper aspect of ourselves: the simple “I am.” This pure presence is the foundation of our true nature. This leads to the profound question: Who am I? We come to understand that “I” is consciousness itself.

The illusory nature of experience

  • Impermanence and Insubstantiality: We realize that nothing can be truly grasped. Our experiences are like holograms: impermanent, lacking a fixed self, and devoid of intrinsic solidity. This understanding reveals that all experiences are qualia, or qualities of the mind, rather than external realities.
  • Looking Beyond the External World: By understanding that all experiences are mental constructs, we see that the world we perceive is a reflection of our inner consciousness. This realization allows us to perceive the interconnectedness of all things, dissolving the illusion of separation.

Embracing emptiness and awareness

  • Empty Yet Aware: Consciousness itself is empty yet aware. It cannot be grasped or solidified. By releasing our grip on concepts of consciousness, we rest in what is, letting go of both subject and object. Experiences are like clouds in the sky, with the experiencer as the vast, ungraspable sky itself.
  • Resting in What Is: In this state, we find peace and clarity. We stop trying to grasp or define our experiences and instead allow them to flow naturally. This practice leads to a profound sense of freedom and spaciousness.

Expressions of consciousness

  • The Ocean and Its Waves: All phenomena, including thoughts, emotions and perceptions, are seen as waves in the ocean of consciousness. The depth of the ocean represents the profound awareness from which all waves arise. Understanding this helps us see that all experiences are expressions of the same underlying reality.
  • Unity of Experience: By recognizing the unity of all experiences, we cultivate a sense of compassion and empathy. We understand that, at the core, we are all connected through the same consciousness.

Embodiment and everyday practice

Recognition and everyday life can be explored together. A moment of clarity may open a question about how you listen, work, relate to another person or meet tension in the body. Mentorship offers space to return to those questions and work with what is actually present.

  • Luminous Body and Awakened Heart: This stage involves embodying the vast and clear awareness. We align our thoughts, emotions, and perceptions with the understanding of non-duality, integrating this knowledge into our being.
  • Sudden and Gradual Processes:
  • Sudden Insight: Involves short, frequent moments of resting and surrendering to total spaciousness. These insights can bring about immediate clarity and transformation.
  • Gradual Alignment: Over time, this alignment integrates into our being, allowing us to embody the luminous body and awakened heart. This process continues throughout life, adapting uniquely to each individual’s path.
  • Practicing Embodiment: The practice of embodiment involves engaging with our daily experiences from a place of awareness. We learn to respond rather than react, allowing our actions to align with our deeper understanding of non-duality.

A personal approach to learning nonduality

At innerpeace.id, we believe in three core values when teaching non-duality:

  1. Heart-Centered Learning: Non-duality is best learned not just theoretically but through direct experience. We emphasize experimentation and personal discovery, allowing each individual to understand non-duality through their own felt experience.
  2.  Universal and Customized Approach: Non-duality is universal and can be tailored to each person’s background and learning style. Whether someone resonates with compassion, analytical inquiry, energy flow, or self-inquiry, non-duality can be introduced through various doorways that suit the individual.
  3. Genuine and Authentic Teaching: Non-duality is not a quick-fix tool but a lifelong journey. We approach it with sincerity, depth, and authenticity, guiding individuals towards a genuine experience of awareness and presence.
